SAM Seasons SDK is an easy way to create seasonal scenery features without the need to create everything from scratch. It also allows designers to get high end vegetation for their sceneries if they don't wish to setup their own trees, bushes and grass so it's usefull even if you don't need seasonal features. The vegetation matches SAM GlobalTrees appearance with high density forests and supports SAM color matching for TerraFlora XP, SFD Global, Orbx TrueEarth and Ortho4xp.

Setting up your scenery is easy and done in no time:

Simple method (recommended for freeware sceneries depending on scenery libraries, the user has to install the SAM DeveloperPack on his machine)

  1. Install SAM DeveloperPack via SAM Suite
  2. Place your contents using the library (in WED: SAM_Library > SAM_Seasons_SDK > ... )

Advanced method (recommended for payware sceneries or if you want to ship the SDK with your scenery without creating a library dependency)

  1. Install SAM DeveloperPack via SAM Suite
  2. Copy the folder SAM_Seasons_SDK from Custom Scenery/SAM_DeveloperPack into you scenery's root folder (DO NOT rename the SAM_Seasons_SDK folder)
  3. If your scenery doesn not use a library.txt, create one first. Copy the content from the Custom Scenery\SAM_DeveloperPack\library.txt into your own one, beginning from line 217 to the bottom.
  4. Modify the export path in a text editor. In your library.txt search for export path is SAM_Library/SAM_Seasons_SDK/... , highlight SAM_Library/SAM_Seasons_SDK/  including the last slash and replace it with UNIQUE_LIBRARY_NAME/SAM_Seasons_SDK/ for all occurences. Now your export path is unique to your scenery so there will be no interferences with other sceneries and you can safely modify all the assets inside your SAM_Seasons_SDK folder.
  5. Place your contents in WED using you newly created unique library path (DO NOT place from the local path, ALWAYS use the library path instead, otherwise dynamic changing features will not work).
